Cheshams Dakota Hustler (Cody)

Cody  comes from a fine line of breeding including the famous Hillhaven's Hustler, and Dixieland Rusty. Cody was recently purchased, and thus is no longer a member of Buckeye Shorthair Kennels. We wish Cody and his new owner all the luck in the world!

Buckeye's Own F5 Whirlwind (Oscar)

Oscar showed a tremendous amount of promise at a young age. Oscar's best feature was his nose. This dog could smell a bird from a country mile. Oscar had all the great attributes of an outstanding bird dog. He remained on point for days and would honor like a champ. Like our other dogs Oscar came from outstanding bloodlines, featuring the famous Twister bred by Sureshot Kennels. Sir Hunter Charles the Proud (Hunter)

3/14/2006 - 10/23/2008

Hunter was a very compassionate hunting companion. In this young dog's life he found himself at a Vet's office after being struck by an automobile. The incident was not fatal, but did result in the loss of a leg. From that point until the day he died, Hunter did nothing but live up to his name. He was very staunch on point and was an exceptional tracker, while remaining steady to wing and shot. He truly was the total package (brains, willingness to please, and a meticulous hunter), and not to mention one of our best friends! Hunter was the dog that started it all, and nothing will ever replace him! The kennel will never be the same without him, even though we know he's pointin' birds for the big guy upstairs!
